Solid pitch parquet or industrial parquet is solid wood parquet, composed of small wooden boards, glued onto a foil, which is in turn glued onto the floor. Solid pitch parquet is made up of small bricks, normally measuring 6-20 mm in width, 10-20 mm in thickness and 200-400 mm in length. Due to its structural characteristics, industrial parquet is suitable for spaces that are exposed to intense stresses. Each brick, due to its very narrow shape, can easily be of different colours to the neighbouring bricks, as wood is by its very nature varied and rich in colour and texture. The bricks may be laid parallel to one another or even at random patterns. Lighter and darker tones can build up an exciting mosaic of colours, hence ensuring the elegance of the business structure they are set in or the cosiness of a living room. This parquet may be sanded, oiled or varnished.
It is also suitable for application on heated floors.
